Abegweit First Nation ~ Epekwitk ~ Prince Edward Island

Abegweit First Nation is composed of Morell, Rocky Point, and Scotchfort reserves. Morell #2 is 83 hectares in size, located 38.4 km. northeast of Charlottetown, and was established in 1846. Rocky Point #3 is 3 hectares, located south of Charlottetown harbour, and was established October 3, 1913. Scotchfort #4 is 54.6 hectares, located 24 km. northeast of Charlottetown and was established prior to 1867. As of December, 1999, the total population was 294, with 172 living on-reserve, and 122 living off-reserve. [We apologize we are currently unable to provide more recent census/governance data.]

From August 8, 2007 - 2011 serving as Chief of the reserve is Brian Francis. The Band Councillors are:

Lennox Island First Nation ~ L'nui Mnikuk ~ Prince Edward Island

Lennox Island First Nation is 534.2 hectares in size, located 24 km. north of Summerside, Prince Edward Island. It was established in May 2, 1870. As of December, 1999, the total population was 695, with 333 living on-reserve, 361 living off-reserve, and one band member living on Crown land.
