Conne River First Nation ~ Miawpukwek ~ Newfoundland

Conne River First Nation is composed of Samiajij Miawpukwek reserve, 548 hectares in size, located 224 km. south of Gander, Newfoundland, and established in June of 1986.

As of December 2009 the total population was 2780:
Registered Males on Own Reserve - 443
Registered Females on Own Reserve - 381
Registered Males on Other Reserves - 0
Registered Females on Other Reserves - 0
Registered Males Living Off-Reserve - 959
Registered Females Living Off-Reserve - 997

According to the Community Well Being Index,* Conne River scored 76 out of a possible 100 based on figures derived from the 2001 Census:
